Copperas Cove EDC selects Marketing Alliance for interactive project
The Copperas Cove (TX) Economic Development Corporation has selected Marketing Alliance to build a series of interactive maps to enhance their existing website. Copperas Cove has two industrial sites and a retail site they are promoting for development. Copperas Cove, part of the Killeen-Temple-Fort Hood MSA, is in one of the fastest growing markets in the state of Texas. Located just off the high-tech corridor between Dallas and Austin, it is rapidly becoming the preferred location for back office, light industries, and retail operations. The Economic Development Authority of Jones County held a press conference today to announce the launch of their new website. The website - www.jonescounty.com - combines information about the Chamber of Commerce, EDA and Howard Technology Park to more effectively promote business and development in the southeast Mississippi county. EDA officials hope that the new website will take advantage of the momentum created by the recent announcement of GE Aviation's new facility in Jones County.

The Electric Power Associations of Mississippi's economic development team has launched their new website. The site includes a searchable Google map interface for available sites and buildings throughout the state. The website address is www.epaofmsed.com. The EPA of Mississippi's economic development team provides support to 68 of the 82 counties in the state.

Laurens County is centrally located in Middle Georgia half way between Atlanta and Savannah on Interstate 16. Laurens County is the fourth largest county in Georgia based on land size. The county is a regional hub for distribution centers because of location.

Columbus Lowndes Development LINK wins SEDC awards
Columbus-Lowndes Development LINK received a Special Judges Award, at the Communications Awards ceremony at the Southern Economic Development Council’s (SEDC) Annual Conference held August 14-17, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
The winning entry was the organization’s GTR Global Industrial Aerospace Park Movie, which was entered into the Electronic Multimedia category. All entries were judged on graphic appeal, clarity and appropriateness of message, positioning and differentiation and content.

Marketing Alliance opens Tulsa office
Marketing Alliance, Inc. has opened an office in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Tulsa office will be managed by Bob Oertel, a Kansas City area native who serves as Marketing Alliance’s visualization director, overseeing the 3D animations and rendering operations of the firm. A graduate of the University of Kansas, he is a former lead designer at Infusion Design (Bonner Springs, KS) and was president of Oertel Design prior to joining Marketing Alliance. Oertel has over 18 years of experience in digital illustrations, 3D animations, renderings and video merge technology.

Columbus, Mississippi recognized by Site Selection Magazine
Site Selection magazine has ranked Columbus, Mississippi 7th in the nation among micropolitan areas in attracting industry in 2009. In a recent article in the Columbus (MS) Dispatch, it was noted that the city had climbed from 14th in 2008. According to the newspaper, Policom defines a micropolitan as containing an urbanized area with more than 10,000 people but less than 50,000. To determine rankings, the company calculates growth rates, consistency trends, industry averages and other factors.

Kathleen Williams and Mary-Morgan Limperis have joined Marketing Alliance, Inc. as marketing representatives. They will be responsible for online sales meetings, database management and social media coordination.
Williams is a 2009 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor degree in marketing and a minor in broadcast journalism. A Columbus, Mississippi native, she recently completed a marketing and public relations fellowship with Southern Living magazine.

Sumter Economic Development's marketing products win awards
ATLANTA, GA (August 24, 2009) The Sumter Development Board received the Special Judges Award at the Communications Awards ceremony at the Southern Economic Development Council’s (SEDC) Annual Conference held August 15-18, 2009 in Point Clear, Alabama.
Marketing Alliance, Inc. in Jackson, Mississippi created the marketing tools for the Sumter economic development organization.
The winning entry was for the organization's arrangement of multi-media communications including "American Spirit, Global Edge" Pocket Folder, "American Spirit - Global Edge" Sumter, South Carolina Community Videos, and the "American Spirit, Global Edge" Kiosk, and Sumter Smarter Growth Initiative Annual Report. All entries were judged on graphic appeal, clarity and appropriateness of message, positioning and differentiation and content.
“The competition was stiff this year with over 100 entries, as economic development organizations throughout our region submitted expertly prepared materials,” said SEDC President Gene Stinson. “The entry submitted by the Sumter Development Board was outstanding and captured the attention of the judges to garner its award.”

Plasma Waste Recycling, Inc. chooses Marketing Alliance
Huntsville, AL – Plasma Waste Recycling, Inc. has teamed with Marketing Alliance to create a 3D animated virtual presentation of PWR’s patent-pending technology. PWR’s process uses high-temperature thermal plasma to convert municipal solid waste (MSW) to syngas, molten metal and vitreous slag. Air emissions are lower than the combustion of natural gas, and are easily within US EPA standards. The syngas is used to generate electricity which is sold to the power grid. The molten metal is cast as scrap steel and the slag is cast as building material aggregate or spun into mineral wool. Both are sold as byproducts, generating additional revenue. The virtual presentation is scheduled for completion in early August, 2009.

The topic will be promotion of Main Street programs. Marketing Alliance was recently selected by Mississippi Main Street to redesign their website.

Downtown Jackson Development / Marketing Extravaganza
Downtown Jackson Partners is holding the second Jackson Development/ Marketing Informational Extravaganza at the Mississippi TelCom Center on Thursday, July 17th from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The night will begin with the BOOM Jackson kick-off party and a presentation of developments will follow. Marketing Alliance lands New Orleans project
MJS Realty of Dallas recently hired Marketing Alliance to create a virtual tour sales presentation for a new mixed use development in New Orleans. The 32-story building on Baronne Street is being renovated into office, restaurants, retail and residential use.
